ADMISSION REGULATION AND REQUIREMENTS

ADMISSION REGULATION FOR NEW APPLICANTS
1. Make sure you have scanned:
- Form IV/VI Result slip or Certificate
- Paying slip
- Equivalent certificate if Form IV certificate obtained outside Tanzania.
- Any other previous academic certificate. Above scanned documents are necessary for attachment.
- Applicants may obtain application form from admission offices or download the application form from the website at www.schs.ac.tz A duly filled application form should be submitted to the admission office with a non-refundable application fee Tshs.20,000/=
- After selection of applicants, SCHS submit list of successful applicant to NACTE for verification. Upon verification SCHS advertises the names of all applicants admitted into different study programmes.
- Ordinary Diploma In Nursing-In service Programme.(Full-time or Distance Learning)
- Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery/Public Health Nurse B.
- License to practice as an enrolled Nurse.
- Letter from employer notifying experience of not less than two years.
- Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) with a minimum of four (4) ‘D’ including ‘D’ pass in Biology, Chemistry or Physics for the graduates starting from 2010 OR
- Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) with a minimum of four (4) ‘D’ with at least ‘D’ pass in any of science subject for the graduates before NTAs system.
- Ordinary Diploma In Nursing and Midwifery(Pre-Service)
- The course is open to the holder of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination(SCEE) with four (4) Passes in non religious subjects including three (3) credit “D” Passes in Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Engineering Sciences, English Language and Basic Mathematics is an added advantage.
- Ordinary Diploma In Social Work
- Certificate of Secondary Education with a minimum of FOUR PASSES excluding religious subject, or National Vocational Award (NVA) Level 3 (with at least 3 passes of CSE)
Admission to the programme will be open to holders of the following qualifications:

Kenyan citizens are required to transform their certificate for secondary school education to match those of Tanzania(equivalency), which is done in National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) offices in Dar es Salaam at a constant fee of Tshs100,000 the college perform the process on behalf of the student at the rate of Tshs 200,000 ( Tshs100,000-a constant NECTA charges for the process and Tshs 100,000-payment charges for transport to and from Dar for the process.
